“ Wow. Just wow! No TVs...analog check in (you write your name on a yellow stenopad when you arrive to be called to a table)...we had the migas, chicken fried steak, a pancake, and a mimosa carafe. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! Every side was on point! The 90s vibe was timeless for me and our waitress was an absolute star! Jen was attentive, charming, gave us the history of the restaurant and cooks...she looked like she walked straight out of an episode of "My So Called Life" and I was here for it!!! Forget the bougie spots...eat local! This place is the best of the best! ”
“ Located in Deep Ellum, with a wide range of foods. A little bit noisier, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great. ”
“ Excellent little place in Deep Ellum. Made from scratch they have excellent Texas Chilli and very good biscuits. Service was friendly and prompt. We will return ”
“ All Good continues to be the best spot to get a fantastic chicken fried steak and eggs for breakfast/brunch. It really may be the best in the world!. The service is also some the best in Texas for such an eclectic restaurant! It matches the playful Austin Music scene styled eatery and venue. A tip, get the blueberry pancakes, they are crazy good! ”
“ If you're planning to eat here on a Sunday morning, either get here early or plan for a wait (but it's TOTALLY worth it!). The staff is quick and friendly, the food is always good, and the prices won't set you back a fortune. I'm not a chicken fried steak fan but it's my boyfriend's favorite meal United and you can see why from the pic. We like to consider ourselves pancake aficionados and there are none better in Dallas than these. They're big, fluffy, and they don't skimp on the fresh blueberries. The potatoes are roasted with onions (my favorite way!) and perfectly seasoned with a good portion, and the sourdough toast is crispy on the edges but soft in the middle. Oh...and if it matters to you, like it does to me, they don't just have fresh, hot coffee ready, they have fresh, hot decaf! That's a big deal for me (and others with caffeine restrictions) and not everyone has it! Now excuse me while I go recover from this food coma! ”
“ AllGood Cafe seems like a very familiar cafe to me when we first walked in and that is just based on feels and vibe alone much less seeing all of the band flyers, music memorabilia, and music posters plastered all over the wall. It's a Dallas brunch/lunch spot that reminds me of the eclectic side that makes up this cool city and the Deep Ellum area. We came in on a Saturday brunch hour and this place was busy! We had a small wait for a booth but it was worth it. Portions on the food are super generous so don't be shy about sharing pancake stakes, apps, or anything else from the menu with who you came with. Just as the place is eclectic and weird (think Austin/Armadillo Headquarters feel) so is the service. We had a very nice, attentive, and a great conversationalist server who made our experience just match with the vibes of the cafe - all in a good way! We were kept up with and on as we ate through our breakfast and bottomless coffee. There is an outside patio and cute natural plants around it too that is super inviting especially in the morning. If you don't find seating outside just pick a spot on the patio and a server will come out to find you and get you started. Parking around here might be at a price after 8:00pm only because you are in the heart of where the party is at but the price won't break the bank. ”
“ This spot is nestled in Deep Ellum right across from Hattie B's. It's a diner-y style restaurant with lots of cute vintage decor. Our waiter and the hostess were both so sweet. Our food/drinks out super fast. My boyfriend and I both ordered Breakfast #2 and it was DELICOUS!!! Eggs were fresh, pancakes were fluffy, and bacon was crispy/salty. It definitely hit the spot. Iced tea was good but didn't taste super fresh. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but we couldn't expect anything less from being in Deep Ellum on a weekend. ”
“ Over the years, I have dined at Allgood Café many times and my experiences have always been great. While most of visits have been for breakfast/brunch, I have had lunch and dinner here a few times. For openers, throughout all my visits, the food is consistently the same...DELICIOUS!! My go to is "Breakfast #2" which is located in the 'By The Numbers' section of their menu. It's a relatively simple selection of two eggs, bacon (or ham) along with 2 pancakes. For something so simple, it always very filling. The eggs are fresh (real eggs, none that of that powdered stuff) and prepared per your choice. The bacon is a nice cut and perfectly prepared, and the two pancakes are fluffy and decent sized (on most visits, one pancake is more than enough for me as they are huge). All in all, it makes for a very satisfying meal. As for beverages, one can never go wrong with their coffee, it's always fresh and strong. Add to it, they have a full bar and there is the menu contains a nice cocktail list. Also, their mimosas always have the perfect balance of juice and sparkling wine. When it comes to service, even with all the turnover in the industry, it consistently remains a-okay. Is it the best service ever; no, but it is a long way from being the worst ever. At the end of the day, the service is perfect for the true Allgood Café experience. As for the space itself, both indoor and outdoor seating are available. The inside consists of tables/chairs, booths along with bar seating. While I have never experienced, there is live music available at certain times. As for parking, it is Deep Ellum, which means there is metered street parking available along with public lots. Depending on how far you are willing to walk, free street parking can be found. Overall, if you are looking for a quality meal, with a slower low-key vibe, AllGood Café needs to be on your list. ”
